The GADOT Group was honored with the “Excellence in Sustainability Award” at the LogiChem Conference for its Low-Carbon Chemical Supply Chain Initiative. The initiative represents an integrated approach to reducing CO₂ emissions along chemical supply chains in Europe. By combining renewable energies at terminal locations and efficiency measures in maritime logistics, the GADOT Group achieves measurable results: currently, approximately 13,900 tons of CO₂e are saved annually.
At its Belgian site, GADOT Belgium relies on renewable electricity generation through its own wind turbine and sustainable heat from biomass. In shipping, the group is driving decarbonization through innovative technologies such as wind-assisted propulsion systems (WAPS) and other efficiency measures. The award underscores the GADOT Group’s commitment to providing integrated and sustainable supply chain solutions in Europe and actively contributing to the transformation of the chemical industry.
